Ahn Jae-hong, Geum Hae-na Win Best Supporting Actor Awards

Ahn Jae-hong and Geum Hae-na won the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards, respectively, at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards held in Incheon on the afternoon of the 19th.

Ahn Jae-hong left a strong impression with his unconventional visuals and remarkable performance as Jo Oh-nam, an outsider with a crooked desire, in 'Mask Girl'. He triumphed over prominent candidates such as Kim Sung-kyun from 'Moving', Seo Hyun-woo from 'A Shop for Killers', Lee Kyu-hyung from 'Uncle Samsik', and Lee Hee-jun from 'A KILLER PARADOX' to take home the trophy.

In his acceptance speech, Ahn Jae-hong said, "It's such an honor. Thank you to the director. I think there is a shining moment like this thanks to the director. I will share the joy of this award with all the producers and actors of 'Mask Girl'. Sung-kyun, Lee Hee-jun, Lee Kyu-hyung, and Seo Hyun-woo, it is an honor to be nominated together. I will continue to be a good actor who performs well in the future."

Geum Hae-na played the role of S-class killer So Min-hye in 'A Shop for Killers', showcasing relentless action and intense charisma, which garnered her the Best Supporting Actress award. She surpassed other talented nominees including Kwak Sun-young from 'Moving', Yum Hye-ran from 'Mask Girl', Lee Joo-young from 'The 8 Show', and Tiffany Young from 'Uncle Samsik'.

In her emotional acceptance speech, Geum Hae-na said, "I wasn't nervous at all because I really didn't expect anything. Born in a really small mountain village, the whole neighborhood raised me, and 'A Shop for Killers' felt like such a whole neighborhood effort. There must be more people who don't know me, but I took on such a big role without any experience, and there was never a moment when I acted alone. I didn't know I would receive this award, but I am deeply grateful." She continued, "I joined the drama after watching the audition. I walked for more than an hour because I thought I didn't do well in the audition. At that moment, I appreciated the times I've been working hard, not just the role itself, and I thank the director for giving me the role of Min-hye. It's my first time at an awards ceremony, so there are many people to thank. I felt like I was in a quagmire this past year. Too many changes have happened. I am grateful to the family members of my agency for seeing me as a good actor and reaching out when my self-esteem fell. I feel like I'm living a different life now. I am so grateful to my seniors, who were my idols and were nominated for the award with me, for this recognition. I love my parents so much and thank my brother. I'm sorry for being a burden. I hope you think of me more since I endured a hard time," she said, sobbing.
