Yim Si-wan, Park Bo-young Win Best Actor and Actress Awards

At the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards held in Incheon on the afternoon of the 19th, Yim Si-wan and Park Bo-young were honored with the Best Actor and Best Actress awards, respectively.

Yim Si-wan captivated the audience with his exceptional comic performance in 'Boyhood', winning Best Actor over nominees Ryu Seung-ryong from 'Moving', Ryu Jun-yeol from 'The 8 Show', Byun Yo-han from 'Uncle Samsik', and Choi Woo-sik from 'A KILLER PARADOX'.

In his acceptance speech, Yim Si-wan shared his thoughts on award ceremonies, saying, "Even with a low probability of winning, if you don’t give a good speech, it seems like you're wasting the audience's time. I often attend these events and learned a trick—prepare a little speech in advance. I only prepared about 10% today."

He continued, "I was reflecting on my role in 'Boyhood' and how it helped me establish my values. It was a blessing and an honor when Park Nam-jung appeared. As Jang Do-yeon mentioned, I also felt a bit embarrassed. Thank you for making this a celebratory occasion. If there's another opportunity, I’ll gladly join in and dance with you all."

Yim concluded by applauding everyone, saying, "Let's give a round of applause to everyone for their hard work."

Park Bo-young won Best Actress for her poignant portrayal of Jung Dae-eun in 'Daily Dose of Sunshine'. She triumphed over Ahn Eun-jin from 'Goodbye Earth', Lee Soom from 'LTNS', Chun Woohee from 'The 8 Show', and Han Hyo-joo from 'Moving'.

In her emotional acceptance speech, Park Bo-young said, "Thank you so much. I deeply respect my seniors and fellow nominees. 'Daily Dose of Sunshine' was a project I undertook to offer sympathy and comfort. I am grateful to the director and to my colleagues Jeong-eun, Sang-hee, and Ji-yeon, who supported me through the challenging role of Jung Dae-eun. I also want to thank the episode leads and the staff who contributed to our drama."

She added, "For anyone going through a tough time, I hope you hold on and stay strong until you see the light of a new morning."

The Blue Dragon Series Awards, now in its third year, recognized achievements across various fields, including Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Watcha, Wave, U+ Mobile TV, Coupang Play, and TVing. Winners were chosen based on evaluations by industry officials and netizens.
