Shin Dong-yeop, Jang Do-yeon Win Best Entertainer Awards

At the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards held in Incheon on the afternoon of the 19th, Shin Dong-yeop and Jang Do-yeon took home the Best Male and Female Entertainer awards, respectively.

Shin Dong-yeop was recognized for his standout performance on 'SNL Korea Season 5'. He won the Best Male Entertainer award, surpassing other nominees including 'Zombieverse' Dex, Jo Se-ho from 'Super Rich in Korea', Ji Seok-jin from 'Bro&Marble in Dubai', and Code Kunst from 'My Sibling's Romance'.

In his acceptance speech, Shin Dong-yeop expressed his gratitude, saying, "I'm incredibly happy to receive this award and to meet people from my favorite works at the ceremony. 'SNL' has always been a defining part of my career, and despite the stress of working on the show, it is a source of great satisfaction. I dedicate this honor to the managers and team members who have supported me for over 20 years. I will enjoy this moment until the end."

Jang Do-yeon was awarded Best Female Entertainer for her exceptional performance on 'High School Mystery Club 3'. She outshone other nominees including Park Ji-yoon and Joo Hyun-young from 'Crime Scene Returns', Lee Soo-ji from 'SNL Korea Season 5', and Satire from 'Trust and Say – Go My Side SS3'.

Jang Do-yeon shared her appreciation, stating, "Thank you so much. I’m more accustomed to congratulating others, so receiving this award is both embarrassing and gratifying. Although it's awkward to be recognized as Jang Do-yeon, a comedian, I feel I am representing the entire cast of 'High School Mystery Club'. I am grateful to my father, Jeong Jong-hyun, and the production staff. Even though I am older, playing a high school student in a school setting is a unique challenge. I appreciate the hard work of everyone involved."

Reflecting on her career, Jang Do-yeon added, "Receiving this award makes me proud of my role as a comedian and motivates me to be a better colleague and mentor. I will strive to be a graceful performer who contributes positively to all programs I participate in."

The Blue Dragon Series Awards, celebrating its third year, selected winners based on evaluations from officials and netizens in various fields of entertainment and culture, including platforms like Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Watcha, Wave, U+ Mobile TV, Coupang Play, and TVing.
