A special story emerged from this particular performance: After her flight was canceled, IU made a 10-hour drive from Atlanta to Washington, DC, to keep her concert commitment. The disruption was due to a major outage in Microsoft's cloud service on the 19th, which led to widespread flight cancellations across U.S. airports.
IU addressed the situation during her performance, explaining in English, "My flight was canceled, so for the first time in my life, a driver drove me. I drove for 10 hours all night. It was very difficult, but hearing your cheers at the opening made it all worth it."
