MBC reported on the 1st that A, a former rugby national team member, was arrested for rape and injury of an old lover. In the report, A assaulted a woman several times when she was rejected by a woman while she was in a fight with a woman in the nude, and eventually dragged a woman who was strangled and complained of pain around and did not stop the assault.
Eventually, even though the woman who evacuated to the bathroom locked the door and reported it to the police, A, who was dressed in the meantime, broke the door and assaulted again. He also left the house after throwing and destroying the woman's cell phone several times. The victim broke up with Mr. A in March after dating him for about six months. On the day of the incident, I took it to Mr. A who was drinking because he said he had left his clothes at home" he said. However, it is argued that the assault began when A later came into the house and demanded sex, and refused to do so. Immediately after leaving the woman's house, A texted her as if she and the woman's scream had nothing to do with her, saying, `I think I heard you scream, but I hope everything is okay.'
The victim's lawyer said, `When the victim enters the house, the perpetrator will take her.' is an incident in which the perpetrator who was enraged by the intention to refuse sexual intercourse caused the victim to be injured. Regardless of the past relationship, if a crime called rape injury is established..." Eventually, the victim was diagnosed with facial subcutaneous bleeding and concussion and received psychiatric treatment. After the incident, the police, who called A to investigate, arrested him on charges of rape and damage to property abroad on the 21st of last month and sent him to the prosecution.
At the club where A had been a coach until recently, he said he could not reach A suddenly while discussing whether to extend his contract with A expired in May.
This is not the first controversy over athletes' personal lives. Earlier, Jang Sung-min, a former rugby team member who appeared on Netflix Physical100, was sentenced to seven years in prison in the first trial for sexually assaulting his girlfriend and illegally filming her, and was reduced to probation in the appellate court. It was taken into account that the agreement was reached with the victim.
