The security company that caused the controversy over actor Byun Woo-seok's 'excessive security' has been sued by Incheon International Airport Corporation.

According to the public corporation on the 25th, the security team of the public corporation submitted a complaint to the Incheon International Airport Police Team against a private company that protected Byun Woo-seok.

Incheon International Airport reportedly reviewed on the 12th that a private company that guarded Byun blocked the entrance gate of airport passengers and arbitrarily inspected passengers' flight tickets was suspected of abuse and coercion. The complaint was reportedly carried out by the security team of the Incheon International Airport Corporation.

In addition, apart from the corporation's complaint, the Incheon International Airport Police Force is investigating bodyguards from the company. Police said they summoned a bodyguard who worked at the scene at around 3 p.m. yesterday as a reference and conducted an investigation. In the investigation, which lasted about an hour and a half, the police explained that they had grasped the facts about what happened at the time.

The police plan to investigate further to see if they can charge bodyguards with violence, coercion, or obstruction of business.

Earlier on the morning of the 12th, Byun Woo-suk arrived at the Korean Air Prestige Class Lounge in the duty-free zone after entering the landside using gate 2 of the departure hall on the third floor of Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 for his visit to Hong Kong.

At that time, a crowd of fans and reporters gathered at Gate 2 to see Byun Woo-seok. In response, employees of private security companies closed the gate for about 10 minutes after Byun Woo-seok entered gate 2. The gate was closed by an unauthorized security company even though it could be used by anyone in the aircraft as well as the general public, sparking controversy over excessive security.

On top of that, security company employees were also seen inspecting passengers' passports and boarding passes entering the lounge and shooting flashlights at ordinary passengers after blocking the entrance to the escalator into the Korean Air lounge.

However, in an interview with the Chosun Ilbo on the 24th, Mr. A, the head of Byun Woo-seok's security company, said, "(The Incheon International Airport Corporation denies that it was not discussed, but it will explain in the police investigation that it conducted the work in consultation with the Incheon International Airport Guard."

Regarding the suspicion of closing the gate alone, Mr. A also told the Incheon International Airport Guard how the automatic door can be manually opened and closed after passing through the gate"There were about four guards at the scene, and after actor Byun Woo-seok passed through, the guards blocked him directly.," he said, adding that he will submit images of airport staff in the departure video again.

Meanwhile, Byun Woo-seok's agency Baro Entertainment apologized for its moral responsibility after the controversy, saying, `We deeply apologize for the damage caused to you while performing security work when leaving Incheon International Airport on the 12th.'
