Shakatak answered the door 'Newzins'Bubblegum' Plagiarism, Musicologist Analysis'
British jazz funk band 'Shakatak' has announced that it is preparing a 'Confident Analysis Report' requested by New Jeans agency Adore while claiming plagiarism of girl group New Jeans' hit song 'Bubble Gum'.

On the 19th, Shakatak's official SNS posted "Thank you for the opinions given by fans in Korea on the recent use of our song "Easier Said Than Done"."Our fabricating company, Wise Music Group, is dealing with the case, and we have hired a musicologist to investigate the matter in more detail. We will continue to update you on the situation.'

This was previously reported by the legal team of Bubblegum Writers Publishers of Bubblegum on June 21 after Shakatak sent a proof of content to Ador regarding the issue of plagiarism in Newzins "Bubblegum."Newzins made an official statement to Shakatak that "Bubble Gum" did not use Shakatak's composition without permission and that he had requested that a credible analysis report be submitted."

In this regard, Adore responded that Shakatak would provide a report soon on the 21st of last month, but the report has not yet been made. A report to prove plagiarism should be sent by the person raising the issue, and Shakatak should answer this."

After Newzins' 'Bubblegum' was released earlier, some netizens suspected that Newzins might have plagiarized British band Shakatak's 'Easier Said Than Done'.

The UK Wise Music Group (WISE MUSIC GROUP), to which Shakatak belongs, reportedly appointed a domestic law firm in June over the plagiarism issue of Newzins' 'Bubblegum' and delivered an official complaint to Adore, its parent company Hive, the Korea Music Copyright Association, and Sony Music Publishing Hong Kong Limited (Korea Office).
