DJ Ye-song (23, Ahn Ye-song), who hit and killed a motorcycle delivery driver while driving a Mercedes-Benz car while intoxicated, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Judge Kim Ji-young of the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Chamber 25 made the ruling on the 9th on DJ Ye-song, who was indicted on charges of violating the law on aggravated punishment for specific crimes (hazardous driving death).

The first trial court did not act to solve the accident and did not report it to the police. Even though it was necessary to remain at the scene, he left the scene without any explanation. "He left the accident site without taking any measures to be taken under the Road Traffic Act, such as protecting the victim. I admit that there was also an intention to flee at the time."

The victim of the second accident eventually died. The bereaved family agreed and issued a letter of objection to punishment, but the person concerned died and could not convey his intention" he said.

Prosecutors asked for 15 years in prison at a final hearing in June. At that time, DJ Yesong appealed to the court for leniency, citing the agreement reached with the victim's bereaved family, and promoted national prestige by performing overseas in China, Thailand, and Taiwan with genius in the entertainment field. He said, "I deeply reflected on the crime every day and submitted a letter of apology 75 times."

Meanwhile, he hit a motorcycle while driving drunk in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on February 3, killing a man in his 50s, a delivery driver. The blood alcohol level of DJ Ye Song, who was arrested at the scene, had exceeded 0.08%, the level of license revocation. At the time, DJ Yesong was holding a dog without any relief measures for the victim immediately after the accident, and was arrested under the current law after refusing to comply with the police's demand for a breathalyzer test.
