Lee Hak-jae, president of Incheon International Airport Corporation, was asked about the recent controversy over Byun Woo-suk's 'excessive security' at a plenary session of the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee on the 17th.
On this day, Rep. Jeon Yong-gi of the Democratic Party of Korea said, `Who is responsible for the controversy. What was lacking at Incheon International Airport?" he said. "I knew clearly that a security company would come, but was there any consultation before I guarded him?"
In response, President Lee Hak-jae said "The security company and the police do not consult with us. The construction is notified by the police. "It's the first time this has happened since the airport was built. We failed to fully anticipate and come up with countermeasures in advance", he stated his position.
He said, `Hundreds of celebrities (via Incheon International Airport) are going out a year, and there has never been such a special case of over-reaction by a private security company like now, so I will take this opportunity to take this opportunity to take measures" he said.

Meanwhile, Byun Woo-seok was embroiled in a controversy over the excessive security of bodyguards from private companies while departing for Hong Kong for an Asian fan meeting tour on the 12th.
