Recently, actor Yoo Hee-je met with Sports Chosun somewhere in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and held an interview to commemorate the end of 'Connection'.
Yoo Hee-je played Gong Jin-wook, a character related to Jang Jae-kyung's drug addiction, in SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 「Connection」 (script Lee Hyun, director Kim Moon-kyo), which ended on the 6th.
When asked about his troubles playing a drug-addicted character, he said, "I thought a lot about the charismatic and heavy tone with the director."," he said. "I also thought about showing my bond with my younger brothers in the play," he said.
It also told the story of Gong Jin-wook's facial scar. Yoo Hee-je said " and "I thought it would be nice to be deeply embedded in the viewers' minds, so I decided to dress up as a scar after discussing it with the makeup team."
When asked about the synchronicity between the real personality with the character Gong Jin-wook, Yoo Hee-je said, `At some point, I think I have a sense of weight and charisma. I tend to be more cheerful." Then "I thought he was a character who took good care of the younger brothers, but I think so, too."I don't want to take care of it lightly, but I think they look alike in taking care of it silently."
He is also thinking about showing a series of intense character acting. "I'm happy that the industry and the public can remember me because I've been playing strong characters one after another, but I definitely have a need to show more colorful sides," he said. I think that's my homework"In terms of acting, I'm thinking about what kind of work would be good for the next chapter."
