The organizing committee of the '2024 K World Dream Awards' announced the selection of MCs for Jeon Hyun-moo and Jang Do-yeon through its official position on the 5th.
After hosting the award ceremony last year under the title of the '2023 K Global Heart Dream Awards', the two will work together again this year.
Jeon Hyun-moo, a former KBS announcer who has been straddling the broadcaster since declaring freelancing in September 2012, is a well-known MC recognized by others. He has hosted the ceremony for many years. The calm and witty progress is expected to bring harmony between K-pop singers and global fans this year.
Jang Do-yeon, who debuted as KBS' 22nd open comedian in 2007, recently dominated the entertainment industry following the sign of an open comedy program. In particular, it is greatly loved in the entertainment of the talk genre, and it is expected to shine at the '2024 K World Dream Awards' with its splendid talk this year as well.
The '2024 K World Dream Awards' will be held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of August 22.
The award ceremony, which started in 2017 with the "1st Soribada Best K-Music Awards" and has been continuing for eight years this year, has been protecting Seoul, the home of K-pop, since it was held to expand the growth and base of the domestic K-pop industry.
With the announcement of the biggest K-pop festival of the Korean Wave to attract 10 million tourists to K-pop this year, the main characters and celebrities who are shining K-pop in the global market will come together to provide a variety of attractions.
An auction event for cherished items, one of the signature events of the '2024 K World Dream Awards', will also be held. Since the beginning, the award ceremony has helped the underprivileged and vulnerable by holding charity auctions with cherished items or goods donated or signed by stars participating in the ceremony. The event will be introduced later on the relevant site.
Meanwhile, the '2024 K World Dream Awards' will be broadcast live to 198 countries around the world through the global live fandom platform 'Hello Live' for K-pop fans who cannot see the performance in person.
The organizing committee will hold voting for popularity awards in a total of five categories from the 10th with the global fandom platform 'UPICK', which was selected as the official voting app for the '2024 K World Dream Awards'.
