KARA Returns with New Single Featuring Hara's Recorded Voice

'2nd Generation Legend' KARA is poised to make a dazzling return this summer with their new digital single 'I Do I Do,' releasing on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 24th.

The single includes two tracks, featuring KARA's first full-length song as a six-member group, 'Hello,' which blends the members' refreshing vocals with a rhythmic tempo. The single delivers a hopeful message perfect for a hot summer day.

In anticipation of the release, KARA shared their thoughts in a Q&A session:

Q: It's been about a year and eight months since the 15th-anniversary special album 'MOVE AGAIN.' How do you feel?

Park Gyu-ri: Thanks to the support of so many people, we are releasing a new song as KARA and even held a solo concert. I feel incredibly grateful and happy to present KARA's summer song. It's like living a dream both then and now. I think we can show KARA's energetic side this time.

Nicole: This single is even more meaningful because it carries messages that the members want to convey to our fans. The members were involved in every aspect, from cover images to music videos.

Kang Ji-young: It’s amazing how time flies—it’s already been a year and eight months! I’m grateful to be back on stage with the members.

Heo Young-ji: I’m thrilled to share this good news and even happier to share these moments with our fans!

Q: Please briefly introduce the title song 'I Do I Do' and highlight any key points for listeners.

Park Gyu-ri: 'I Do I Do' is a song that we performed with the belief that anything is possible when we're together with our members and our fans, Kamilia(official fandom name). It's a catchy summer song featuring refreshing sounds that perfectly suit the season and vocals that shine especially brightly in the second half.

'I Do I Do' embodies the meaning of a promise. It's these promises that have allowed us to come this far. The lyrics reflect the friendship among the members and our commitment to always being with 'you,' our fans.

Q: How does 'I Do I Do' differ from KARA's previous summer hits like 'Rock U,' 'Mr.,' and 'Mamma Mia'?

Park Gyu-ri: KARA has delivered many upbeat and powerful performance-oriented summer songs in the past. This time, we opted for an easy-listening track as our title song. It adds a new dimension to KARA's summer music, showcasing a different vibe with five vocalists.

'Rock U' was cute, while 'Mr.' and 'Mamma Mia' were relatively cool and energetic songs. 'I Do I Do' maintains a sophisticated and refreshing beauty, while still delivering the lively energy you expect from KARA.

Heo Young-ji: 'I Do I Do' brings a refreshing element, like a splash of cool water. It's a song that reminds me of the fun and joy of playing in the water during summer.

Q: What does 'Hello' mean to KARA, and what led to the decision to release this song?

Park Gyu-ri: When we resumed our KARA activities two years ago with 'WHEN I MOVE,' we wanted to give a special gift to Kamilla, our fans who waited for us for so long. 'Hello' includes the voices of all six members, including Hara's. Hara had hoped for a KARA comeback while she was alive, so 'Hello' holds a special significance not only for Kamilla but also for Hara and all of us.

Han Seung-yeon: It took a lot of thought and a long time to decide on releasing this song. Although everyone always considered it, we never moved forward with it until now. I thought, "If not now, then when?" and felt it was the right moment before the opportunity disappeared. This song represents a significant step forward for us. It's the most meaningful song in our lives.

Nicole: 'Hello' is an unreleased song we recorded as KARA in 2013. We prepared it because we wanted to be together as a whole group. It wasn't an easy task, which makes this song incredibly precious to us. We hope it will be a special gift for our fans.

Kang Ji-young: I think it's a miracle that all six voices are included in one song!

Heo Young-ji: While singing and preparing this song, I could remember and think about my sister, who I always miss. I'm grateful that a song with such deep meaning can be shared with the world.

Q: Please say something to the fans who are looking forward to KARA's comeback.

Park Gyu-ri: I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the fans who have supported us for a long time, as well as to those who have just started cheering for us. The reason KARA can exist now and in the future is because of you. I hope this single conveys our deep gratitude. Thanks to your patience, we're able to come back without losing heart. Thank you, and thank you again. I hope you have a happy summer with 'Hello' and 'I Do I Do.'

Nicole: Kamilla, we're back together again. Thank you for always being by our side for such a long time. I hope this special single touches your hearts.

Kang Ji-young: We can sing again because there are people who are always waiting for us. Thank you. Take care of your health in the hot summer!

Heo Young-ji: Thank you for always being with us. Let's continue to be happier, healthier, and have more fun together forever!
