Kim Ho-joong Donates KRW 15 Million Even During Police Investigation 'Sorry for Not Participating in Volunteering'

The good deed of trot singer Kim Ho-joong, who was accused of 'drinking hit-and-run', was belatedly known.

On the 18th 'Vegan News' reported that Kim Ho-joong donated 15 million won to a temporary shelter for homeless people in Seoul Station while being investigated at the police station in May.

According to reports, Kim Ho-joong was initially planning a volunteer activity to provide breakfast to 250 homeless people staying at the facility. However, as the police investigation began on May 9 when the drunk hit-and-run accident made it difficult to keep their promise, they donated 15 million won to the facility for the homeless to eat breakfast and operating expenses.

Through his agency, Kim Ho-joong said, "I want to volunteer for breakfast, but I'm sorry I couldn't."It is said that he expressed his apology

Meanwhile, Kim Ho-joong was arrested and charged with violating the central line while drinking and driving in Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on May 9 and running away after colliding with a taxi on the other side of the road, and turning himself in instead of his manager, Jang.

Kim Ho-joong, who initially denied driving under the influence, admitted to the crime 10 days after the accident. The police handed over Kim to the prosecution, including the charge of drunk driving, but he was excluded from the prosecution stage. The prosecution judged that it was difficult to determine the drinking level only by reverse estimation.

The first trial was completed on the 10th, and Kim Ho-joong's lawyer asked the court about his position on the charges, saying, `I have not yet read and copied the records"I'll reveal it on the next day." The court decided to hold another hearing on the 19th of next month to hear Kim Ho-joong's specific position.
