According to reports, Kim Ho-joong was initially planning a volunteer activity to provide breakfast to 250 homeless people staying at the facility. However, as the police investigation began on May 9 when the drunk hit-and-run accident made it difficult to keep their promise, they donated 15 million won to the facility for the homeless to eat breakfast and operating expenses.

Kim Ho-joong, who initially denied driving under the influence, admitted to the crime 10 days after the accident. The police handed over Kim to the prosecution, including the charge of drunk driving, but he was excluded from the prosecution stage. The prosecution judged that it was difficult to determine the drinking level only by reverse estimation.
