Lee Sun-hee Fined for Misuse of Corporate Cards

Singer Lee Sun-hee has been fined for the misuse of corporate cards. 

On the 29th, Lee Sun-hee addressed the issue, stating, "Last year, I was subjected to an intense investigation by the authorities regarding allegations related to Hook Entertainment. While the investigative agency found no issues with other suspicions, they deemed some of my personal usage of corporate credit cards from 2011 to 2022 to be difficult to justify. Consequently, a summary order for the fine was issued, and I accepted it with humility and remorse."

Reflecting on her career, Lee Sun-hee added, "For the past 40 years, I have been cherished by many and have lived as a public figure. I realize now that I should have been more meticulous in every aspect of my professional conduct. I deeply regret my lack of diligence, which I previously attributed to ignorance. I sincerely apologize to the fans who have found comfort and hope in my music over the years. Moving forward, I will strive to live my life without any sense of shame as singer Lee Sun-hee."

Lee Sun-hee was accused of causing financial damage to the company by privately using a corporate card from One Entertainment between 2011 and June 2022. One Entertainment, where she had been CEO since 2013, was liquidated in June 2022. Although Lee Sun-hee denied all charges during the police investigation, she was eventually fined.

Forty years ago, I nervously stood on the stage of the Gangbyeon Song Festival for the first time, and since then, I have been overwhelmed with gratitude for the immense love I have received.

Last year, I was under intense investigation by the authorities regarding allegations related to Hook Entertainment. While the investigation found no issues with other suspicions, some of my personal corporate credit card usage from 2011 to 2022 was deemed problematic. Consequently, I accepted a summary order for a fine with deep reflection.

Throughout my 40-year career, I have been loved by many and have lived as a public figure. I now realize the importance of being thorough in all aspects of my life and work, and I regret the oversights that I previously attributed to a lack of knowledge.

Above all, I deeply apologize for disappointing the many fans who have found solace and hope in my music over the past 40 years. From now on, I will strive to live my life without any sense of shame as singer Lee Sun-hee.
