On the 29th, Sejong, the law firm representing CEO Min, stated, "The sexual harassment case was resolved by the HYBE Personnel Committee on March 16, concluding with 'no charge.' We find it perplexing that HYBE is now reinterpreting the situation to attack CEO Min."
Addressing the attendance issue of a particular employee, Sejong explained, "The attendance was requested to understand work processes following the employee's start date on February 1, which the employee had agreed to. The meal in question was conducted without any problems." They further clarified that "HYBE's HR policy includes a six-month probationary period for experienced hires across all affiliates. Various issues regarding positions and treatment arose during the probationary evaluation, leading to an agreement failure and the employee's departure. This case is not related to the reason for the employee's resignation."
Furthermore, CEO Min Hee-jin stated that she listened to both parties' opinions impartially, aimed to mediate conflicts, and worked diligently to prevent similar issues in the future through caution and warnings. She also proposed improvements to HR procedures and increased transparency to HYBE for better system operation.
CEO Min emphasized, "Using the contents of private conversations for reporting purposes is an attack on individuals and unrelated to the core issue. Publishing private conversations to third parties is clearly illegal. The matter was resolved through reconciliation between the two employees, and reopening it could constitute a secondary offense against those involved."
On the 25th, a media outlet reported that CEO Min had shared Kakao Talk conversations exchanged with an ADOR executive identified as A, alleging that CEO Min protected A, who was accused of sexual harassment, and ignored the victim.
