According to Spotify, the world's largest music platform, Sugar became the first Asian rapper to surpass 4 billion streams in total credits on the 14th, setting a new record. This is the sum of Suga's solo songs, Agust D and SUGA, and all five individual songs from the BTS album. Sugar, which reached 3 billion in early August 2023, has recorded more than 1 billion streams in less than a year.
In particular, Suga set another 'first Asian rapper' record by achieving a total of 3.5 billion streams in a row with solo credits excluding songs from his BTS album. The meaning is different because it is the result of combining only three solo albums and songs that participated in production.
Meanwhile, Suga's solo song 'Haegeum' surpassed 300 million streams earlier this month. In addition, in the first half of the year's settlement of Circle Chart, a domestic music and music sales website, 'Haegeum' and 'That That' produced and featured by Suga in 2022 continued to break records, proving their global popularity.
