Singer and actor Hwang Chan-sung continues to make a global K-food sensation.

Hwang Chansung's Food Content 'Chan' has been regularized on the fast platform 'R Channel' of the Rakuten Group in Japan. In Japan, under the program name 'Chansung's Kitchen (チャンソンのキッチン)', it is aired daily at 7 a.m. and prime time at 7 p.m. on the channel 'NEW KPOP' of 'R Channel'.

'R Channel' is an OTT platform provided by Rakuten Group to its members, offering a variety of programs on 45 channels, including animated movies, news, sports, entertainment, hobbies, and kids, 24 hours a day.

Park Joon-kyung, CEO of New ID, Asia's largest 'FAST' (advertisement-based free streaming TV) service company, launched the first Japanese subtitle version of the "'Lee Chan' content. Thanks to Hwang Chan-sung's charm, fan service, and the agency's support for localizing content, local fans in Japan have been receiving favorable reviews from the beginning of the service. Starting with Japan, we will do our best to become a catalyst to expand the scope of artist Hwang Chan-sung's global activities."

Under the concept of 'Yo Chan', Hwang Chan-sung is a new concept cooking program in which he recreates popular menus suitable for various topics with his recipes. Its value is highly appreciated for its comprehensive information on K-food, from Lunar New Year food to kimchi know-how to learn from Korean food craftsmen and representative snack menus.

Last year, it was regularized on tvN's Asia channel Primetime. Under the title of 'Chansung's Cooking', it was released exclusively to nine countries: Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, and the Maldives. Since then, it has received a steady increase in viewership and a hot interest from viewers.

Hwang Chan-sung is rapidly expanding his activities in Japan. In March, he firmly established his position as an actor with his first Japanese drama lead film, Junkit Sayin, showing off his fluent Japanese skills and versatile charm in popular local TV and radio programs, showing off his unrivaled presence on the global stage, including Japan.
