Lawyer Choi is Tzuyang's ex-boyfriend and a legal representative of the agency's representative A, and was pointed out as an informant who handed over Tzuyang's information to foot-and-mouth disease. Recently, as it was revealed that Tzuyang suffered from assault and intimidation from her ex-boyfriend A, public anger has grown over those mentioned as perpetrators.
Choi claimed that he only reported it at the request of his client through SNS in the wake of the controversy, but the Korean Bar Association launched an ex officio investigation into Choi and reviewed whether to take disciplinary action.
The legal community pointed out that if Choi leaks confidential information acquired in his duties without the consent of his client, it is a violation of Article 26 of the Lawyers Act and falls under Article 317 of the Criminal Act (the crime of leaking confidential information in business) and can be subject to criminal punishment.
