On the 10th, the Seoul High Court held the second trial of Park's appeal on charges of embezzlement under the Specific Economic Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act.
Prior to his attendance, Park Soo-hong asked the court to set up a partition so that the defendants could not see him, but the court agreed to attend the lawyer in consideration of Park's mental and physical stability.
When asked about additional evidence submitted at the trial, Park Soo-hong said "I showed a lot of data and evidence extensively in the first trial, and the defense lawyers mentioned privacy or the past, deviating from the issues and essence. Earlier, Park and his wife were put on trial for embezzling 6.2 billion won, including company money and his brother's personal funds, while exclusively in charge of his younger brother's management from 2011 to 2021.
In the first trial held in February, the court sentenced his brother Park and brother-in-law Lee to two years in prison and acquitted them, respectively.
Park was found not guilty of embezzling his younger brother's personal property, but both Park Soo-hong's brother and the prosecution appealed.
