According to police and multiple media outlets on the 12th, Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul conducted a search and seizure on online communities where the notice of the stabbing was posted on the 11th. This is to identify the identity of the publisher, such as IP tracking.
Earlier, the police received a report on a notice of a stabbing against the daughter of a YouTuber Calm Man posted on an online community at around 9:30 p.m. on the 9th.
A police official said, `I received a report on the morning of the 10th, the day after the post was posted"We are investigating to identify the publisher."
Young-ui, a law firm that served as the legal representative for Calmman, also announced a hard-line response in an official statement on the 11th.
The law firm Youngui said "On the 9th, a threat of rape and murder against the child of Calm Man was posted in a community." A criminal act that cannot be overlooked is occurring. I would like to inform you that we will take a strong response to malicious acts related to the family without absolute leniency or agreement in the future," he stressed.
Meanwhile, Calm Man made his debut as a webtoon writer in 2009 and gained popularity. Since then, it has expanded its activities to online such as YouTube and currently has 2.52 million YouTube subscribers. In particular, Calmman drew sympathy from viewers by mentioning an anecdote with his daughter 'So-young (Lee So-young, 12 years old)' through the broadcast.
