Famous Rapper Faces Investigation After Alleged Assault Incident in Seoul Park

A 39-year-old famous rapper is reported to have assaulted a passerby at a park in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 31st that it had launched an internal investigation into the case.

According to the police, the rapper, referred to as "A," is accused of assaulting a passerby with a mobile phone after asking him to move his bicycle properly at an intersection in the park around 8:30 p.m. on the 28th. The victim reportedly suffered a tear around the eyes and damage to some teeth during the incident.

The police, who were dispatched after receiving a report of the incident, took statements from both A and the victim at the scene. They completed a basic investigation and released both parties at the scene. An official from Mapo Police Station said, "We will decide whether A will be formally charged through additional investigation, and if necessary, we plan to conduct a suspect investigation."

A made his name in the music industry by releasing his debut song in 2010 after being recruited by a famous entertainment company in 2008. He has since worked as a producer on the popular hip-hop audition program "Show Me the Money."
