Judge Park So-jung of the Seoul Central District Court sentenced Hwang Chul-soon, who was handed over to trial on charges of assault and property damage, to one year in prison on the 11th.
The court stated in detail and consistency that the victim had made major statements, including the circumstances, methods, and parts of the assault, from the investigative agency to the court", he explained the reason for the sentencing.
Earlier on October 16 last year, Hwang Chul-soon was accused of punching A more than 20 times in the face and head and kicking him/her in the face several times with his/her feet while arguing with his/her lover A, who was dating at the time, in an outdoor parking lot of a building in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do.
It was confirmed that Hwang Chul-soon grabbed A's hair and dragged him to the vehicle, sat him in the passenger seat, and assaulted him with his hand. In the process, he threw A's mobile phone on the floor and damaged it and punched the driver's door to crush it. A was diagnosed with an injury such as a fracture for three weeks.
Meanwhile, Hwang Chul-soon, a former fitness player, appeared as a gong man on tvN 'Comedy Big League' from 2011 to 2016.
