According to the legal community on the 11th, the prosecution demanded a two-year prison term for A, who was indicted on charges of entertainment and marijuana under the Narcotics Control Act, at a final hearing held at the Incheon District Court's Criminal Department 14 (Chief Judge Son Seung-beom) on the 9th. The prosecution said it requested A in consideration of his/her history of being punished for the same crime.
Mr. A, a six-time criminal, was arrested and charged with taking or smoking methamphetamine, ketamine, and cannabis three times from March to August last year. At the time, the lawyer said in court that " (the defendant) admits all of the prosecutions." After hearing the positions of both sides, the court has not yet set a date for the sentence.
Apart from this case, A was additionally indicted on charges of threatening Lee Sun-kyun in September last year and ripping off 300 million won and is currently on trial. In the first trial, Mr. A denied the charges, saying, `I only informed (Lee Sun-kyun) that I was threatened by the hacking criminal.'
Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun died on December 27 last year while under police investigation for drug use.
