According to the Associated Press and the New York Times on the 14th (local time), Shannon Doherty passed away the day before after years of breast cancer.
Shannon Doherty's spokeswoman Leslie Sloan said, `Doherty died after fighting cancer. Doherty closed her eyes surrounded by her devoted daughter, sisters, friends, and dog. Please protect their privacy so that families can mourn the deceased in peace,' the statement said.
Shannon Doherty underwent a resection after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. Two years later, he was diagnosed with complete recovery, but cancer recurred in 2019, and he was diagnosed with stage 4 the following year. In June last year, he also said that the cancer spread to the brain and underwent surgery to remove it.
