SHINee's Onew Talks About Healing Journey with a Baseball Glove

SHINee's Onew recently shared details about a challenging time in his life. 

In a video released on the YouTube channel "People by People" on the 27th, titled "Twice, SHINee's No Fun: What Happens When Two People Meet!", Onew revealed a personal story involving his cherished baseball glove.

During the video, Onew showed a pitcher’s glove that holds special meaning for him. "I had neck surgery in 2010 and 2011, which left me unable to speak for about six months," he explained. "During that time, I bought this glove and spent six months silently throwing the ball. It became a friend that helped me endure my anxiety and the lonely, difficult times."

Onew also underwent vocal cord polyp removal and vocal cord mucosal restoration surgery in 2014. Reflecting on this experience, he mentioned that the rehabilitation process was arduous, but it taught him how to use his voice from the beginning again through diligent practice.
