According to Billboard's preview article released on July 28 (local time), 'ATE', which debuted on July 19, topped the Billboard 200 chart with 232,000 album units sold in its first week. This marks Stray Kids' fifth consecutive chart-topping album, following 'ODDINARY' in March 2022, 'MAXIDENT' in October 2022, '★★★★★ (5-STAR)' in June 2023, and '樂-STAR' in November 2023.
Stray Kids' achievement not only underscores their global popularity but also sets a new record in Billboard history as the first group to have all five of their albums debut at No. 1. They join DMX as the only artist to achieve five consecutive No. 1 albums in Billboard's history, and Stray Kids is the first group to accomplish this feat globally.
With 'ATE', Stray Kids has achieved the highest first-week sales for a K-pop album this year, with 232,000 units sold, and 218,000 of those being album sales, the highest for any K-pop release this year. This also makes 'ATE' the second highest in album sales globally, behind Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department'. The album topped Billboard's 'Top Album Sales' category on August 3.
The title track "Chk Chk Boom" reflects the group's confidence and ambition. The song has charted at No. 30 on the UK Official Singles Chart and the album debuted at No. 62 on the UK Official Albums Chart. Additionally, 'ATE' has topped the French Music Association (SNEP) chart, reached No. 2 on the German official charts (July 26 - August 1), and No. 7 on the Dutch Top 100 chart (July 27).
Stray Kids, who has captivated fans worldwide, will perform as a headliner at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 2. They will also embark on their largest world tour, 'Stray Kids World Tour,' with four performances at the Olympic Park KSPO DOME in Seoul from August 24 to 25 and August 31 to September 1.
