76-Year-Old US fan's Memorable Encounter with IU

Zev Rattet, a 76-year-old American grandfather who gained attention for his admiration of Korean singer-actress IU, finally had the chance to meet her and enjoyed a memorable fan experience. 

On August 1, Zev Rattet shared a photo of his wife and IU together on the YouTube channel 'Zev Does KDrama' community.

The post read: "My wife and I met IU on July 30 at the Oakland Arena." Known as the 'American Grandfather Fan,' Zev Rattet runs a popular YouTube channel where he posts content about K-dramas and IU. His dedication to IU was evident when he joined her fan club, which led to IU inviting him to her concert after seeing his videos.

Zev Rattet later shared his thoughts on IU's concert, praising her as "graceful, beautiful, and incredibly sweet." He described his experience: "I'm still recovering from the excitement of the concert, but it feels like I'm walking on clouds. Meeting IU and getting a hug from her was like a dream come true. It was an incredible experience."

Additionally, Zev Rattet highlighted some special gifts he received from IU, including a key ring, a bow tie, and a traditional Korean fan.

Since discovering Korean culture in 2017, Zev Rattet has been a devoted IU fan, particularly after watching the 2019 drama 'Hotel Del Luna'. His enthusiasm for IU has continued for over five years, cementing his status as a dedicated fan.
