'My Little Old Boy' Hosts Reflect on 8 Years and Future Aspirations
On the 8th anniversary of the SBS show 'My Little Old Boy', hosts Shin Dong-yup and Seo Jang-hoon expressed their deep gratitude to viewers for their unwavering support over the years. The two MCs marked the occasion with heartfelt remarks, reflecting on the show's enduring success since its first broadcast in August 2016.

In a recent interview, Shin Dong-yup and Seo Jang-hoon, who have been with the program since its inception, shared their thoughts on reaching this milestone. Shin Dong-yup remarked, "It's hard to believe we've reached our 8th anniversary. It feels like a new chapter every year."

Shin Dong-yup attributed the show's longevity to its unique concept: "There have been many observational entertainment shows, but the idea of mothers coming to the studio to watch their children's daily lives sets us apart. There are various relationships we could focus on, like couples or siblings, but mothers are particularly curious about their children. The genuine, unfiltered reactions from these mothers have resonated with viewers, allowing 'My Little Old Boy' to continue its successful run."

Seo Jang-hoon highlighted the delicate balance of humor and sensitivity required on the show: "In most entertainment programs, there's a lot of playful banter, but because we're dealing with mothers and their children, we have to be careful. Even if the mothers have been on the show for a long time, they're not professional entertainers, so we take extra care with our comments."

Speaking about Han Hye-jin's mother, who recently joined the "Mother Avengers," Shin Dong-yup praised her: "As a top model's mother, she brings sophistication and style to the show. At the same time, she also shows the charm of a seasoned country life veteran. Her unique blend of characteristics brings fresh energy to the show."

The two MCs also mentioned celebrities they'd like to see on future episodes of 'My Little Old Boy.' Shin Dong-yup expressed his wish to have Sung Si-kyung on the show: "He’s someone who, despite his busy schedule, consistently prepares for concerts and collaborations. As a gourmet and active YouTuber, he embodies the diverse qualities that would resonate with our viewers."

Seo Jang-hoon added, "We haven't had IU on the show yet, and I believe she's an icon loved across all generations. I'd love for her to join us, especially when she releases a new song." He also extended an invitation to comedian Kim Young-chul, saying, "He's a bright and positive person who has been a part of other programs with me. I hope more people can see his vibrant personality through our show."

Finally, the two hosts thanked the viewers for their continued support. Shin Dong-yup reflected, "It's amazing to see 'My Little Old Boy' maintain its top position in a fiercely competitive entertainment landscape for eight years. Meeting viewers who tell me they're watching the show brings me immense joy. Thank you all for your unwavering love."

Seo Jang-hoon echoed these sentiments: "The competition with dramas and other entertainment shows is intense, but 'My Little Old Boy' remains a top program. I'm honored to be part of something that viewers have cherished for so long."

Meanwhile, the upcoming broadcast on the 25th will feature a special segment with Bae Sung-jae, Park Ji-sung, and Kim Min-ji. Bae Sung-jae, who has been secretly coaching the couple, is expected to play a prominent role. Additionally, the episode will showcase the heartwarming story of Bae Jeong-nam's dog, who, after being diagnosed with general paralysis, miraculously began walking again thanks to dedicated care.
