BTS’ Suga to Appear at Yongsan Police Station for Investigation on August 23

Suga, a member of BTS, is scheduled to appear at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul later today for questioning. This follows reports that he was involved in an incident where he was allegedly found driving an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol.

According to YTN on the 23rd, Suga has been booked for operating an electric scooter while intoxicated. An official from the National Police Agency stated at a press conference on the 19th, "We are coordinating the schedule with Suga and will investigate in detail how he came to be driving under the influence of alcohol."

The police added that they plan to schedule the investigation during regular hours this week, avoiding weekends and late nights. They also mentioned that there will be no special arrangements for media coverage, stating, "We will follow the same procedures as with other suspects and will not arrange a photo line."

The incident occurred on August 6th when Suga was reportedly found falling from an electric scooter while intoxicated in Yongsan-gu. Suga had been drinking and used the scooter to return home, unaware that riding an electric scooter under the influence is illegal. He fell while parking the scooter at his front door, where a police officer conducted a breath test. The result revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.227%, significantly exceeding the legal limit of 0.08%, leading to a license revocation and a fine.

This incident has sparked controversy and raised questions about inconsistencies in the initial reports and the handling of the case.
