At the hearing of the Suwon District Court's Criminal Appeals Department 6-1 on the 29th (Senior Judge Shin Woo-jung, Yoo Jae-kwang, Kim Eun-jung), Oh Young-soo's lawyer recently submitted a response to the court on the reason for the appeal, saying, "The defendant was socially judged by dropping out of the movie one after another due to this case.", he argued that the sentence of the first trial was heavy.
When Oh Young-soo's lawyer said "We have not decided yet whether to call the victim as a witness" The court will proceed with the questioning of witnesses (for those involved in the case) and think (whether to adopt the victim's witness) on the next day" he said. The victim's lawyer also attended the trial.
Oh Young-soo was indicted without detention in November 2022 on charges of two forced harassments, including hugging a woman A and kissing her on the cheek in front of A's residence on the Daesi promenade where she was staying in the province for a theater performance in the summer of 2017. The lower court previously convicted Oh Young-soo of the charges and sentenced him to two years in prison in August this year.
The prosecution, which demanded a one-year prison term, appealed the first trial's ruling, respectively, on the grounds of unfair sentencing.
