'Drinking hit-and-run' Kim Ho-joong will admit to the charges this time at the second trial today (19th)

The second trial of singer Kim Ho-joong, who was handed over to trial for drunk driving hit-and-run, will be held today (19th).

According to the legal community, Judge Choi Min-hye of the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Chamber 26 will hold the second trial date for Kim Ho-joong, who was arrested and charged with dangerous driving injuries and running injuries under the Specific Crime Aggravated Punishment Act, and inaction after an accident under the Road Traffic Act, from 10 a.m.

In addition, Lee Kwang-deuk, CEO of Thinking Entertainment, former head of the division, and three managers, identified only by their surname Jang, who were indicted on charges of evading the criminal and destroying evidence, will also be tried together.

Attention is focusing on whether Kim Ho-joong will admit the charges at the trial. Kim Ho-joong's lawyer delayed his position on the charges, saying he failed to read and copy the case records in the first trial held in July, and the trial ended in just 13 minutes.

On the other hand, all three other defendants, including representative Lee, who were indicted together, admitted to the charges, and they submitted letters of apology several times after the first trial.

Meanwhile, Kim Ho-joong is accused of drinking and driving on the road in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, at around 11:40 p.m. on May 9, crashing into a taxi, and making his manager turn himself in instead. He admitted to drinking, but there was no record because he attended the police late after fleeing, and he did not apply the drunk driving charge because he thought it was difficult to specify the drinking level only by reverse calculation over time.

Representative Lee and the former head of the headquarters, who were handed over to trial together, are accused of ordering their manager Jang to surrender on behalf of them to cover up the accident.
