On the evening of the 13th, starting at 8 p.m., a wreath protest was held in front of the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, demanding Suga's withdrawal from BTS.
The wreaths displayed provocative messages such as "Congratulations on your downfall," "Min Yoongi, Leave," "You’re the one who let go of our hands," and "Don’t you feel sorry for the fans?"
In particular, calls for Suga's withdrawal from the group have been spreading on social media, with hashtags advocating for his voluntary departure trending on platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter).
The incident in question occurred on the 6th of this month when Suga fell while riding his electric scooter in Yongsan-gu after consuming alcohol. Police who arrived at the scene detected the smell of alcohol and conducted a sobriety test. The following day, on the 7th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul booked Suga on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (Drunk Driving).
Suga reportedly admitted to having had a glass of beer, but his blood alcohol level at the time of the test was found to be 0.227%, well above the 0.08% threshold for license cancellation.
Amid growing criticism over allegations that he attempted to downplay the incident, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul is expected to summon Suga for further questioning soon.
