According to the production company's film production company, the press and distribution premiere of 'Suyucheon' will be held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall on the 13th of next month before its release on September 18.
Usually, in the case of domestic films, press and distribution previews will be followed by a press conference organized as a Q&A session with directors and actors in attendance at the end of the film screening. However, 'Suyucheon' drew the line, "The press conference will not be held after the movie is screened."
Earlier, director Hong Sang-soo, who is married, developed a relationship with Kim Min-hee after 'Right Now, Wrong Then', and in March 2017, he officially announced his romantic relationship with Kim Min-hee at a press conference for the domestic premiere of 'Alone on the Beach at Night'.
Since then, he has filed for divorce from his wife, but has not appeared in public in Korea for nine years, continuing his affair with Kim Min-hee for nine years, giving up losing and appealing.
On the other hand, the film 'Suyuchun' is director Hong's 32nd directorial film, which tells the story of a female university lecturer asking her uncle, who has not been working for several years, to direct a sketch. Kim Min-hee, who is in a relationship with Hong, also participated in the production of the film as the director of production.
Kim Min-hee received the Best Performance in International Competition at the 77th Locarno International Film Festival held on the 17th (local time).
