G-Dragon Secures Trademark Rights from YG Entertainment

G-Dragon has secured all trademarks, including 'G-Dragon' and 'GD', from YG Entertainment.

On the 1st, YG Entertainment announced it had transferred its trademark rights to G-Dragon in a surprise move. G-Dragon's current agency, Galaxy Corporation, confirmed the transfer, stating, "It is true that the trademark rights were transferred."

G-Dragon, an iconic figure who debuted with YG Entertainment, has long been associated with the name 'G-Dragon'. This transfer marks a significant decision by YG Entertainment, especially as G-Dragon sought to acquire the trademark rights to facilitate his solo activities. With this development, G-Dragon's solo endeavors are now more promising.

Expectations are high for G-Dragon's solo comeback, as he can now freely use the name 'G-Dragon', which he has been known by since 2001. Park Myung-soo even fueled rumors of G-Dragon's comeback on the radio, heightening anticipation for his future activities under his newly secured trademark.

In December of last year, G-Dragon left YG Entertainment after approximately 23 years and partnered with Galaxy Corporation, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
