On August 6th, Soyeon posted on her personal account, saying, "My primary concern is always how to entertain people, and my second concern is how to make our team’s work more enjoyable. There are times when things may seem provocative or when some works don’t receive a positive response, but we never intentionally lie or try to harm anyone."
She continued, "This performance was not based on falsehoods or hidden agendas. We rehearsed it numerous times and developed it together."
Soyeon added, "Having worked with the company for over ten years, I don’t harbor negative feelings despite what the media might suggest. Sometimes, words can be misrepresented, and intentions may not always come through clearly. However, this situation highlighted our company's need to improve its response to such issues. I’m committed to growing together with the company, and I hope that any worries or negativity will ease."
She concluded, "I will strive harder so that you don’t have to worry. I am always grateful, sorry, and love you all."
During the recent world tour ‘i-Dol,’ held at the KSPO DOME in Seoul on August 3rd and 4th, Soyeon made headlines with her unconventional rap performance, which included the lyrics, " Who's going to stop me?" and "Why should I care?"
In response to the controversy, Cube Entertainment clarified that the performance had not been pre-approved by the company, emphasizing that Soyeon’s lyrics were meant for stage performance only. The agency also noted that the members will be renewing their contracts next year.

My primary concern is always how to entertain people, and my second concern is how to make our team more enjoyable.
There are times when things may seem too provocative or when some works don’t receive a positive response, but we never intentionally lie, try to harm anyone, or act in a way that would trouble our conscience.
This performance was also not based on falsehoods or hidden from the company. We rehearsed it numerous times in front of everyone and created the stage together.
Having worked through more than ten years together, I don’t harbor negative feelings towards the company just because of what’s been reported in the media. Words can be miscommunicated and may differ from intentions. However, I think this situation highlighted our company's need for a better response to such matters. I will also strive to grow together with the company, and I hope that any worries or negative feelings can ease a bit.
I will work harder so you don’t have to worry. Neverver fans, I am always sorry, grateful, and love you all."
