In Shaolin Temple, China, a monk called 'the most handsome dancer' died at the age of 21 in a car accident.

According to local media such as China's Gwangmyeong Network on the 9th, Monk Chiu Feng collided with a large truck while taking a taxi from Henan Province, where Shaolin Temple is located, to Zhejiang Province on the 7th. At the time of the accident, there were only two people, a taxi driver and Chiu Feng. The taxi driver died right at the scene. Chiu Feng was taken to a hospital for treatment, but died at around 10:23 p.m. on the 8th.

Chiupeng reportedly had the accident while driving on the highway for the performance.

Chiupeng returned to Buddhism nine years ago at the age of 12. Later, he was given the legal name of Yanheng (延珩) by his teacher and became the 34th dancer of Shaolin Temple.

He enjoyed great popularity on social media due to his excellent martial arts skills and handsome face. He also honed his own authority. In 2024, he even appeared in a drama called 「赴」, showing off his various talents.

Through these activities, he was praised for his dedication to inheriting and developing Shaolin culture.
