Actor Lee Min-ho (37) and actor Kim Min-ha (29) expressed their expectations for season 2.

Lee Min-ho and Kim Min-ha interviewed Apple TV+ original series 'Pachinko Season 2' at Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 23rd.

The seven-year trend will be drawn between season 1 and season 2. Due to the sudden change in time, Han-su and Seon-ja, played by Lee Min-ho and Kim Min-ha, also undergo changes as parents. Kim Min-ha said "If I said it wasn't hard, it was a lie and I had a lot of worries. How did you go through so much over the course of seven years, but in the last episode of season one, Isaac was arrested and started as the head of the family, and after seven years, you continued to paint the life of the Zen master for seven years. I kept trying to portray the children growing up, and the children were big and the lines were much bigger, so I tried to picture them growing up. I think I was a little concerned about the relationship and the flow of time inside because there were things that naturally melted when I wore a costume with the help of makeup.

In the case of Han-su, his last job as a fish broker in Season 1, Lee Min-ho said, "At some point during the seven-year hiatus, he became an arms dealer and connected with the political circle, and he seems to have agonized over how he would have gone up fiercely in the process and how many dirty things he had to get his hands on."

He explained that filming helped him a lot to solve his problems. In particular, even though we met for the first time in a long time and filmed, the surrounding environment increased the level of immersion. Lee Min-ho "In my case, I was the latest to join the Pachinko Season 2 team. At that time, I was filming a work called 「Ask the Stars」 for quite a long time, so I joined the work as it took longer than I thought, so I had only about two weeks. I have time to prepare in Canada. But fortunately, it was an environment that I met and experienced once rather than burden or awkwardness, so I think it helped me to immerse myself for two weeks comfortably.

Kim Min-ha said, `Especially for me, Pachinko was a work that made me known to many people, so if there is a little difference, a lot of people recognize me at the site of season 2. That was a bit different. There was no change in the mind or attitude of cherishing the good son. Since we did it together once, I think there was something that I was able to immerse myself in a more comfortable relationship and a comfortable atmosphere. I think I continued to work with the same precious heart because facing homework or difficult situations given to the Zen master remained unchanged.'

"Pachinko" is a series that has struck a chord with many people of all generations, races, and countries. It contains the story of Zainichi (Korean in Japan), but it gained sympathy from all strangers of this era. Lee Min-ho said "The biggest thing I felt was that people who are confused about their identity seem to sympathize a lot. It seems that it was easy to sympathize with the United States because many races live in the largest power and there are many immigrants. So in the end, this story is about living on the ground??Those who start anew in a new place in a strange land seem to have sympathized even more."

In addition, Kim Min-ha said "At the end of the day, it's about love, it's about family, and I think there are many good people in this world. In that respect, I think they thought it was their story. My mom was like that, and my grandmother was like that, or I was like that, so I sympathized a lot, and I heard a lot of these stories. Looking at the fairy, 'I did the same. I was upset that all the smells disappeared because I did the laundry wrong when I went abroad. I think I could relate to each episode because it's a story where everything happens. We were very nervous because it was our first reaction. I was thankful that they liked it and waited for us for 2 years" he said.

Although it received a lot of attention from viewers after season 1 and continued to season 2, he did not forget to encourage viewers to watch. Lee Min-ho and Kim Min-ha even joked, saying, `Because I'm coming out.' Lee Min-ho "I think it is a drama that can relieve emotional consumption rather than a dramatic element. I think it's a work with a code of emotions that can be resolved by dividing it over a long period of time and looking at it after a long period of time, so even if the period was long, I think it's not unreasonable to see it because of those aspects. Of course I'm coming out, too." Kim Min-ha also said "When I read the script and when I was filming, what would be the hope of these people?" It was also a big topic for me to not let go of hope and light even if I thought it was really the worst. I really hope it will be delivered well, and I think many people will be comforted by watching it. He said, "I was so grateful for waiting in the hope that you could feel that your darkness was not alone."

Pachinko 2 is a series based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same name, released in 2022. 'Pachinko' is a chronicle of four generations of love and survival through the eyes of Seon-ja (Yoon Yeo-jeong, Kim Min-ha), a strong mother who has rooted in an unfamiliar land to live proudly for herself. Season 1 of 'Pachinko', which warmly captures epic poems unfolding between Korea, Japan, and the United States, proved its workability by dominating the world's leading award ceremonies, including the Critics Choice Awards and Gotham Awards.

Season 2 of 'Pachinko' has a total of eight episodes, with one episode being released every Friday on Apple TV+, starting on the 23rd.
