'Legendary French actor'Alain Delon dies after battling a stroke at age 88

Alain Delon, a famous French actor, has died at the age of 88.

AFP reported on the 18th (local time), citing the children's announcement.

According to the report, the three children died in a statement on the same day after struggling with their father's deteriorating health.

The statement read "Alain Fabien, Anuschka, Antoni and Lubo (Delong's dog) are deeply saddened to announce the death of their father"He died peacefully at his home in Doocy with his three children and their families together."

Alain Delon was much loved when he rose to stardom in 1960 when he starred as a poor young man obsessed with the desire for upward status in Renee Clément's 'The Sun Is Full'.

Since then, Alain Delon has appeared in more than 90 films over the past 50 years amid cheers from critics and the public, and has starred in more than 80 of them.

It enjoyed worldwide popularity under the nickname 'Handsome of the Century' and other masterpieces such as 'Is Paris on Fire' (1966), 'The Sun Is Lonely' (1962), 'Bolsarino' (1970), and 'Joro' (1975).

Alain Delon has been in medical care since suffering a stroke in 2019 and undergoing surgery.

His son, Anthony, also told French radio in 2022 that Delon had decided to euthanize in the event of worse health in the future.
