Bangbae Police Station in Seoul said on the 29th that Taeil was booked after being reported on charges related to sex crimes in June. According to police, the victim was an adult woman.
On the 28th, SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) recently confirmed that Taeil was accused of a criminal case related to sex crimes. In this regard, while grasping the facts, he recognized that the issue was very serious, so he decided that he could no longer continue his team activities, and discussed with Taeil and decided to withdraw from the team. Since then, NCT members have also started to draw a line by unfollowing Taeil.
Before the incident became known, there was a lot of speculation about SM's firm response to Taeil 's 'knife-wrecking'. Some even suspected that Taeil's case was a sex crime against same-sex minors, but the police denied it.
Meanwhile, Taeil made his debut in 2016, and worked in units such as NCT 127, and NCT U. He was suspended due to a motorcycle accident in August last year, but he resumed his activities by attending a fan meeting on the 3rd and 4th anniversary of his debut.
