Jungkook of BTS has received his third consecutive nomination for the MTV Video Music Awards.

According to the nominees list announced by the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) on August 6, Jungkook is up for awards in two categories: 'Best Collaboration' and 'Best K-Pop' for his track 'Seven (feat. Latto).'

In the 'Best Collaboration' category, Jungkook is competing against notable artists such as Taylor Swift, Post Malone, and Drake, underscoring his status as a global pop star.

Jungkook previously made history in 2022 as the first Korean solo artist to be nominated for the 'Song of Summer' with his collaboration on Charlie Puth's "Left and Right." Last year, his track 'Seven (feat. Latto)' won the 'Song of Summer,' making him the first Korean solo artist to receive this award.

The 2024 MTV VMA ceremony will take place on September 10 at the UBS Arena in New York.

Released in July last year, Jungkook's debut solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' quickly became a global hit. The song performed exceptionally well on major charts, including reaching #3 on the UK's official singles chart and earning over 1 billion streams on Spotify. Additionally, 'Seven (feat. Latto)' topped Billboard's "2024 International Power Players" list, based on its performance on the 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' chart, becoming the most popular song in over 200 countries and regions.
