Hani Withdraws from TV Show Amid Fiance Yang Jae-woong’s Controversy

Hani, a member of the girl group EXID, has been affected by the recent controversy involving her fiancé, Yang Jae-woong.

Last month, Hani was set to join JTBC4 as the host of the new entertainment program "Review 4 Cut." However, she recently chose to withdraw from the role. While Hani's team stated that her departure was due to changes in the program's recording schedule, there is speculation that the decision may also be linked to the stress caused by her fiancé's legal troubles.

Attention is now focused on whether Hani and Yang Jae-woong will proceed with their planned marriage in September.

Hani announced her engagement to Yang Jae-woong on June 1. Yang Jae-woong had previously gained media attention by sharing that Hani was the one who proposed to him during various entertainment shows.

Recently, it was revealed that a woman in her 30s, identified only as A, died on May 27 at Wjin Hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, where Yang Jae-woong serves as CEO. The woman's family has filed a complaint alleging that she was not given proper medical care for her abdominal pain and was instead restrained and mistreated at the hospital, leading to her death.

Yang Jae-woong issued a public apology approximately two months after the incident. However, the delayed response was met with criticism from both the bereaved family and the public, who felt the apology was insincere, especially given that Hani and Yang Jae-woong announced their engagement just four days after A's death.

This controversy has led to speculation about whether Hani and Yang Jae-woong's wedding will be postponed, but both parties have yet to confirm any changes to their plans.
