A first trial decision was held on the 12th for Park, who was indicted on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, at the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Chamber 18 (Judge Lee Joon-gu).
On this day, Park appeared wearing a black straight hair wig, a black dress, and a horn-rimmed glasses and a mask covering her face.
The prosecution demanded a fine of 3 million won for Park on the same day.
Park is accused of defaming Kang Daniel by posting a false video titled 「The promiscuous private life of a national boyfriend actor idol」 on his YouTube channel Taldeok concentration camp.
Park said "At that time, I didn't think so, I just thought lightly that I was just conveying other people's words, but I think I acted without thinking. have a lot of remorse"There was no intention of slander," he said, appealing for leniency. And yet, when asked about YouTube revenue, "I've never calculated it separately", "I'll have to see it," he said, shying away from the answer.
Park's lawyer argued that `Please acquit him/her considering the fact that he/she added a phrase in the form of an opinion expression at the end of the video, that he/she made the video for the purpose of informing him/her about an act of public interest, that there was no purpose of slander, and that he/she acted for the public interest at the time.'
The sentencing hearing for Park will be held at 2 p.m. on September 11.
Separately, Park was sued by Jang Won-young and her agency Starship Entertainment on charges of spreading false information about I.V. Jang Won-young.
