Controversy Deepens as ADOR Executive Withdraws Apology in Harassment Allegation

On the 17th, former employee B revealed through a personal social media account that Executive A at ADOR had retracted an earlier apology concerning allegations of sexual harassment.

According to B, the withdrawal came via a lengthy 2,000-character message sent through Kakao Talk early that morning. B stated, "Executive A has canceled his broad acknowledgment and apology, claiming that his apology was being misused."

Regarding the workplace harassment report, Executive A said, "This is bullying and it's too much," to which B responded, "I'm confused whether I'm the perpetrator or not, but since you canceled the apology, I'll take the necessary response."

Previously, there were accusations that Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, attempted to cover up the sexual harassment incident within the company. CEO Min defended herself, claiming that she had acted as a mediator between Executive A and Employee B. However, B was infuriated by CEO Min's actions, accusing her of misleading the public by disclosing private Kakao Talk conversations without consent.

In response, CEO Min alleged that B had made a retaliatory report out of spite, following a poor personnel evaluation that B received due to alleged underperformance, despite being a highly-paid employee. While Executive A initially apologized to B, HYBE, the parent company, decided to re-investigate the situation. In the midst of the controversy, CEO Min denied any formal apology, sending 77 Kakao Talk messages containing abusive language, including threats like "See you at the Labor Office and in court."

Meanwhile, the anonymous community app Blind, popular among office workers, has seen a surge in posts from employees at HYBE and ADOR, many of whom are expressing their support for B.
