Bae Jin-young, a former member of the K-pop group CIX, has officially apologized for remarks made during a conversation with fans on a paid fan platform on the 13th.

During the interaction, Bae Jin-young expressed his eagerness to share good news with his supporters. "I keep thinking about it, wanting to bring good news as soon as possible. People around me tell me to take my time, but I can't help it," he said. However, his comment that "time is gold" and that "there are many golds that have been thrown away" sparked concern among some fans, who questioned whether he was referring to his activities with CIX as "gold that has been wasted."

In response to the backlash, Bae Jin-young issued an apology. "I apologize to those who were hurt by my poorly chosen words and actions. I realize my words may have caused confusion and misunderstanding, and I will be more careful in the future," he stated. He added, "I'm sorry for causing worry to those who sincerely support me. I am truly grateful for your support and will strive to be more mindful moving forward."

Bae Jin-young also addressed ongoing rumors of discord with his former CIX members. Last year, he was embroiled in a "bullying" controversy after a video surfaced showing fans booing him during an overseas tour, with other members seen laughing. However, Bae Jin-young dispelled these rumors, affirming that he remains in contact with the members.

Bae Jin-young debuted with CIX on July 23, 2019. Over the past five years, the group has released a total of eight albums, including their first full-length album 'OK Prologue: Be OK', six mini-albums, and one single. CIX has been on hiatus since their third concert, 'Zero or One,' held at Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Seoul this past April.
