According to the legal community and the Chosun Ilbo on the 23rd, Judge Choi Min-hye of the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Chamber 26 received a bail application submitted by Kim Ho-joong on the 21st. Bail is a system in which the arrested defendant receives a deposit or sets up a guarantor and releases it under certain conditions, such as restrictions on contact with the residence and the person involved in the case. However, there is a possibility that he will talk to the person involved in the case or flee after his release.
In the second trial held on the 19th, Kim Ho-joong said "We acknowledge all the prosecution facts" and added that he had agreed with the victims of the drunk accident. Accordingly, it seems that Kim Ho-joong applied for bail to be tried without detention. Given that Kim Ho-joong's final hearing will take place at 10 a.m. on the 30th and takes about a month at the earliest from the decision to the sentence, Kim Ho-joong's sentencing date is expected to be from late October to early November.
It is known that Kim Ho-joong is currently suffering from health problems such as ankle problems. Earlier, Kim Ho-joong was seen limping as he came out of the detention center. In addition, SBS 'My Ugly Baby', which aired in March, showed him receiving orthopedic treatment, saying his ankle condition was serious.
Kim Ho-joong is accused of running away after crashing a taxi on the road in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 11:40 p.m. on June 9 (such as escape injuries under the Specific Crime Weighted Penalty Act, non-action after the accident). Kim Ho-joong, who left the scene after the accident, attended the police at around 4:30 p.m. the next day.
Kim Ho-joong, who had denied the alleged drinking, suddenly changed his position on the 19th after the Changwon concert and admitted drinking. The police applied additional charges of drunk driving, believing that Kim Ho-joong's blood alcohol concentration at the time of the accident was at the level of license suspension (more than 0.03% and less than 0.08%). However, the prosecution did not include charges of drunk driving in the indictment, saying that Kim Ho-joong drank more after the accident and that it was difficult to identify the drinking level with the Widmark as it was measured over time.
