Hani's Silence Amid Yang Jae-woong's Hospital Scandal Raises Concerns

EXID recently marked its 12th anniversary on August 13th, with members Solji, LE, Hyelin, and Jeonghwa sharing celebratory posts on social media. However, Hani's account remained silent, which led to speculation about her absence.
Reports indicate that Hani's quietness is due to a troubling incident involving Yang Jae-woong. On July 26th, it was revealed that a woman in her 30s, identified as A, died at Wjin Hospital, where Yang Jae-woong serves as the director. A had been hospitalized for treatment of diet drug addiction. Her family alleges that A experienced severe abdominal pain, but the hospital did not provide adequate care. They claim that A was restrained and died as a result.

Bucheon City’s investigation found that the hospital adhered to the legal limits for restraint and quarantine. Nonetheless, the investigation also noted shortcomings, including missed vital signs during the restraint period on May 27th, the day of A's death. The hospital has been advised to enhance training on restraint protocols.
Yang Jae-woong is now facing scrutiny from the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. Amidst these developments, there have been rumors suggesting that Hani and Yang Jae-woong’s planned September wedding might be postponed. However, Hani's representatives have stated that they cannot confirm any changes to the wedding plans at this time.
