Gwangmyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Province said on the 12th that it booked Lee Arum without detention at the end of last month on charges of fraud and sent him to the prosecution.
Lee Ah-reum is accused of borrowing about 37 million won from his fans and three acquaintances and not paying it back. According to the victim, Lee Ah-reum and his boyfriend A did not pay back after borrowing them for personal reasons, and the victims filed a series of complaints with the police station from March to May.
The police also believed that A also extorted some money from the victims and handed it over to the prosecution. Lee Ah-reum generally admitted the charges in the police investigation, but A reportedly denied it.
