The international residential welfare non-profit organization Habitat and singer Sean raised a total of 1.3 billion won in donations by successfully completing the "2024 815 Run" on the occasion of Liberation Day (August 15).

815 Run reflects on the meaning of Liberation Day, which has found the light of the country, and is grateful for the independence fighters!It is a campaign to convey the positive message that '. It is a donation marathon used for a project to improve the residential environment for descendants of independence fighters, and received hot attention by recruiting 16,300 participants, the largest ever this year.

Virtual runners ran a certain distance (3.1km/4.5km/8.15km) at the time and place they wanted and certified it on Naver Happy Bean, while offline runners ran 8.15km with Sean at Sangam World Cup Park on the day of Liberation Day.



Singer Sean, a promotional ambassador for the 815 Run campaign, ran a moving race in 7 hours, 51 minutes and 59 seconds, completing 81.5 kilometers. About 45 pacers were divided into groups of five and joined Sean's feet, and former soccer players Lee Young-pyo and Cho Won-hee of the running crew Unknown Crew, actor-singer Lim Si-wan, actors Yoon Se-ah and Im Se-mi participated to help.

A total of 1,326,571,500 won, including donations from 55 sponsoring companies and participation fees from individual participants, will be used to support comfortable and safe homes for descendants of independence fighters.

Sean said, `The reason I run 81.5km every year is to give my best to the independence fighters who gave everything for our country.' `This year, the largest number of people participated in the 815-run event, and I thank the participants for showing the endless wave of Taegeukgi," he said.

Sean in the picture is lying exhausted on a bench outside after finishing the marathon '815 Run'. Another post revealed that Sean, who ran 81.5km, lost about 4.7kg in one day. The photo shows Sean's feet with damaged claws drawing attention, and the number 67kg is written on the scale where his feet are raised.

Yoon Hyung-joo, chairman of the Korea Habitat, welcomed the liberation of his country at the expense of independence fighters, but the lives of descendants of independence fighters are very poor. I'm happy to build a house for them through the 815 run event, and I'm grateful to the participants, saying, "It's all thanks to you."

Through the 2020-2024 815 run, about 31,000 runners, 215 pacers and 270 sponsoring companies at home and abroad have raised funds of 5.8 billion won, and so far, they have dedicated their 14th home nationwide.
