The late actor Lee Eon (real name Park Sang-min) celebrated the 16th anniversary of his death.

Ian died in a motorcycle accident at 1:30 a.m. on August 21, 2008. He was 27 years old at the time.

The accident occurred while going out on a motorcycle again after arriving home from the end of KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama `Choi Kang Chil-woo.' While traveling by motorcycle on an overpass in Hannam-dong, Seoul, he hit a guardrail and died on the spot. Ambulances were dispatched immediately after the accident, but when rescuers arrived, they were reported to have already taken their breath away.



Shortly after the accident, Ian's agency announced in an official briefing at Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital in Hannam-dong, Seoul that `Iron died after suffering a cervical fracture due to a motorcycle accident.' The agency is believed to have lost its balance and collided with a guardrail while attempting to change lanes while driving a motorcycle from Itaewon to Hannam Bridge around 1:30 a.m. on the 21st," he said. In addition, "There appears to have been no collision with the vehicle, and 119 rescuers rushed to escort him, but he died from a cervical fracture."

In the meantime, Ian began his acting career with the movie Madonna, and gained huge popularity in the MBC miniseries 'Coffee Prince 1st Shop'.In 'Kang Chilwoo', he drew attention by appearing as a member of the guest group 'Jaja'.



In particular, actors Gong Yoo and Kim Jae-wook, who co-starred in 'Coffee Prince 1st Shop', also recalled Ko Yi-eon in MBC 'Youth Documentary Dasumul - Coffee Prince Edition'. "It was so heartbreaking that I deliberately stopped talking about him with my colleagues 'Cuff' for a while. I wish I could have been here with him now," he said, recalling him.
