SM denies suspicions of Taeil's fan-gimin 'Sexual crime charges first recognized in August, investigated on the 28th'
SM Entertainment ('SM') has denied Taeil's allegations of 'fan deception' being accused of sex crimes.

On the 29th, SM said "We and Taeil first recognized the fact of the defendant in the middle of this month. Taeil was questioned by the police on the 28th", and denied the allegations that 'fan deception'

On the same day, the Seoul Bangbae Police Station said Taeil was booked after being reported on charges related to sex crimes in June. However, Taeil was on stage for the 8th anniversary of NCT 127's debut on August 3 and 4 at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and participated in the NCT 127's 6th regular album 『WALK』 released last month, drawing anger from fans.

Earlier on the 28th, SM confirmed that Taeil was recently sued in a criminal case related to sex crimes. In this regard, while grasping the facts, he recognized that the issue was very serious, so he decided that he could no longer continue his team activities, and discussed with Taeil and decided to withdraw from the team.

"Taeil is faithfully engaged in the police investigation and will tell you additional positions depending on the progress of the investigation. We deeply apologize for the controversy caused by our artists."

Meanwhile, Taeil debuted as NCT U in 2016 and also worked as a member of the affiliated group NCT 127.
